Three of The Best Healthy Beauty Products
I've been using Adorn Infusions products for almost two months now, and I must say that I am in LOVE. When I started working with Kori I was inspired to switch all of my self care products over to natural, healing treasures. It didn't make sense to me that I was putting so much thought and care to what I put in my body, but not on it. It's not like I was using awful products, but many still had chemicals and none were produced by hand in small batches. I wanted something high-vibe where I could feel the love that went into each bottle, and where the natural ingredients worked together to heal in the way nature intended. Plant medicine people - it is life changing. Once you connect to that magic, it impacts every area of your life.
All three of these products have remarkable healing properties, smell gorgeous and feel fantastic. They have all become a staple in my self care regime.
Bodacious Babe Body Oil
First up, the Bodacious Babe Body Oil. This has such a light, fresh, floral scent. The lavender and rose combined with all of the other essential oils has super calming and lasts all day, plus layers beautifully with any natural perfumes I use. It has a very light texture, absorbs quickly and lasts quite awhile. The trick is to apply it on wet skin - as soon as I get out of the bath or shower, before towelling off I use 2 to 3 pumps for my whole body. It also has natural sunscreen, which is perfect for me - I'm a Leo, and one of my favourite things is lounging in the sun. The best part is how much it has helped heal my stretch marks & cellulite. It's no secret that I'm curvy, and I sincerely love my curves. But with those curves comes the stretch marks and cellulite, and I didn't think anything could help me with those. The stretch marks have almost entirely healed, and the cellulite is seriously reduced on my inner & back thighs. Seriously - PLANT MEDICINE. It feels amazing knowing I'm using something so luxurious that is also healing my body. It's my favourite part of my self care ritual.
Natural Dry Shampoo for Dark Hair
The most important thing I wanted to switch over was my dry shampoo. I was using aerosol ones for years, and they all were drying out my hair and making it greasy at the same time. I knew I wanted to try Adorn's Natural Dry Shampoo for Dark Hair - I remembered smelling it at a Market Collective and being convinced I would want to spend the day eating chocolate. Seriously, it smells that good. I usually use it on day three of not washing, and it replaces any dirty hair smell with the most gorgeous minty-chocolate scent. It soaks up oily roots, adds a ton of volume, and most importantly, does not dry out the ends. The Dark Hair option blends perfectly into my raven black hair, and there is also an option for those of you who are blonde. It comes in a little jar, so all you do is dip a blush brush into it and go to town on your roots. On days where I need some seriously help though, I just grab a pinch (like you would with salt when cooking) and sprinkle it all over. At $15, this is not only the best dry shampoo I've ever used, but also the best priced one.
Rose Lavender Hydrosol
Finally, the Rose Lavender Hydrosol is one of my all-time favourite products now. It has the softest, most grounding scent, and you can use it in so many different ways. I use it every night after washing my face in place of toner. I use it after gardening to kind of refresh and cool down. I also spray it on my scalp when it gets irritated (which is pretty often, especially when doing a cleanse). On nights where I don't feel like I can fall asleep, I spray it all over our bedding - lavender helps with insomnia and anxiety. I am also planing on taking it with my to the upcoming markets to use as a grounding spray, and on our road trip to Vic to refresh on the road. Overall, its an integral part of of my self care routine.
