Moonlit Musings XIII

My mind is full this moon & instead of trying to tie it all together, I’m craving a little free-flow writing. Here’s a gentle invitation to spend a few minutes transforming your thoughts into words on a page - it can be so soothing.

~ The different types of love that give life meaning. Friendships. Family. Romantic. Self. Animals. Nature. The beauty in the little moments.

~ How much easier it is to close off my heart than to stay open & vulnerable. How to set boundaries that keep me soft & safe.

~ The practices that help me stay present & grounded when burn out, anxiety & depression start creeping in.

~ The joy that wearing beautiful clothing brings me & the ripple effect this often has on my other choices. Personal style is an anchor when life is tumultuous (hello, concussion).

~ How quickly time passes, & how can I savour it, enjoy the process, encapsulate the memories.

~ How to surrender, soften, let go of rigidity & control, & trust myself.

~ The collections I’m pulling together, & how grateful I am to get to create them for you, & for the family & friends that help with Celeste so I can.

~ I’m thankful that Celeste will grow up surrounded by such amazing folks. She sees how community comes together to support & nurture each other’s dreams, & knows that she’s loved by so many people she can turn to when she needs.

~ I’m stoked for the rituals & routines of autumn. For Celeste to experience the first changing of the leaves she’ll remember, for the darkness to arrive earlier so we can gather around the fire with loved ones under the stars. For gathering & drying & harvesting & preserving.

~ What to pack for our trip to Kelowna this week. It’s my first time there & feels like the first little vacation we’ve had all summer, so I’m quite excited!

~ Where to find more tansy, goldenrod & yarrow to forage for dyeing.

~ Wondering if there’s any new coffee shops in Calgary to check out. Also, the new forest bathing trail in the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary.

~ I can’t wait to edit all photos we took in the mountains last night. I love wandering & playing with Isaac, it’s the perfect combination of grounding & inspiring, & I’m grateful we live somewhere so breathtakingly beautiful.

~ Looking forward to reading a new novel tonight, as soon as I send this out (I borrowed this one earlier today)

~ How perfect it was listening to the rain while in the bath last night - very symbolic for the lunar eclipse.

FULL MOON TAROT: THE WORLD

As one phase ends, another begins. Life is not linear; it cycles like the moon, spiralling deeper & deeper with each journey. Take a moment to pause, appreciate, rest & assess. Trust yourself enough to know you can handle whatever comes next - after all, you’ve already made it this far.

Reflections

What lessons have you learned that you want to carry with you?

What needs to be released?

How can you soften, even just a little?

What practices, routines & rituals have helped you? Are there any you’d like to add?

How does your community support you? How do you support them?

What are you feeling afraid of right now? Hopeful for? Grateful for? Curious about?

What are you proud of?
