Curious About the New Collection? Here’s What You Need to Know

As you may have seen here, earlier this Spring, Isaac & I found out we have a little one on the way! While I found a few preloved pieces I loved to fit my changing body, it got increasingly harder to find things that met all my needs: natural fabrics, easy to move in, comfortable through my entire pregnancy, would work for breastfeeding/pumping afterwards, & that I’d love for years to come.

Since I had a clear vision of the pieces I wanted, I decided to make them for myself. I chose the fabrics I wanted, botanically dyed them in soothing colours that remind me of my favourite things in nature & created versatile pieces in the flowing shapes I love to move in. For years now, it’s been my dream to sew my own collection for the shop, so when friends started asking me to make them the garments I was wearing, & then strangers stopped me in the streets to ask where I got something, I took a leap of faith & decided to offer them here.

Having worked with clothing for over a decade, I know how hard it is to find preloved garments that are comfortable for both curvy & extra petite bodies; size inclusivity was my main focus when designing this collection, & the entire line is also maternity & postpartum friendly. Everything is easy to put on & can change as your body does - the trousers have an elasticized drawstring waistband, the skirt has a simple elastic waist, tops & dresses drape & flow, & there are no buttons anywhere.

Bonus: you can style everything at least two ways! You can wear the Ethereal Top & Celestial Dress with the v-neck in the front or back, the Luna Trousers as a jumpsuit, tuck the straps on the Solara Blouse for a strapless look, the Moonbeam Skirt can be a strapless dress, & the Mystic Robe does double duty as a jacket or wrap dress.

Each garment is made to order, just for you. I find preloved natural fabrics in fantastic condition & work to create minimal waste, saving offcuts & scraps for other projects. After I’ve sewn your garments, I botanically dye them with plant matter I’ve either grown, foraged or recycled, a process that takes 2-3 weeks (which I’ll share more about soon).

I hope you’re as excited about this new collection as I am! Along with these made-to-order garments, I’ll have a few ready-to-ship samples & limited-edition handcrafted pieces available. There will also be a curated selection of vintage treasures, gathered on my last trip to Toronto, & a few treasures for your home (including my favourite hand-sculpted incense burner).

You’ll want to have your measurements handy to make choosing your size simple. Since I’m making them to order, there is room for simple adjustments, like making an elastic bigger or smaller or the length a little shorter - please feel free to reach out if you’re curious if something is possible.

I’ll only be offering a limited number of handmade orders - once I hit capacity, the handcrafted garments will be unavailable until I reopen for orders. These spots will be available to folks on the newsletter first, so I’ll send out a password for the shop at 10 a.m. MST on September 14th. To make sure you get your custom garment or a one-of-a-kind piece you love, sign up for the newsletter here & be sure to keep an eye out!
