A Gentle Practice for Easing into the New Year

I don’t know about you, but I’ve felt like I’ve needed these last few weeks to recover. Last year was one of the hardest of my life, and I needed a moment to pause & breathe. I’ll still be taking a few weeks to rest & reset.

That isn’t to say I’m not working—the behind-the-scenes work is foundational. Setting intentions, planning, and creating a guideline for the year is essential to moving forward with purpose.

Here’s what I’m thinking:

  • Setting an intention for the year ahead {I like to pick one or two words as my anchors}

  • Writing out a dream list goals I’d love to move towards, then breaking them down into seasonal plans.

  • A tarot pull, one for each area of life that matters to me, and one for each month of the year ahead.

  • Softly, slowly, reorganizing my wardrobe and home to align with how I’m feeling & what I’ll need next

  • Creating a flexible schedule that incorporates work, rest & play.

What are you feeling called to this first New Moon of the new year?
