Moonlit Musings XVIII

Talking with a friend last week, I was reflecting on April & all I could say was “wtf was that?!” It was an absolute whirlwind. There were so many moments that took my breath away—dreams coming true & pain that cut straight through my heart.

Being on the news, sharing my workshop & celebrating Market Collective.

Sleep regression, growing pains, separation anxiety.

Having my best spring market so far.

A migraine that lasted for weeks, then came back again.

“I love you, mama. So much.”

The hugs & kisses & cuddles.

“I’m mad at you, mama.”

“I made this for you, mama.”

Art taped to the walls, drawn all over my work notes.

My first big grant application, drafted & edited & then directions changed. Drafted & edited over & over again.

Taxes.

Officially becoming a published writer, seeing my first article in print with FOLKLIFE, with stunning photos by Jo Concetta.

Hosting my first workshop outside of Market Collective.

Finding out I get to pop up at both the Calgary AND Canmore Folk Fest Arts Market with some of my dearest friends.

Finally feeling my feet on the earth, the sun on my skin, my hands in the dirt.

I had a moment the other day where it hit me that even though some days are so hard, they’re filled with what I dreamed of years ago. Some things since I was a child.

It left me wondering: what dreams do I have now that one day will be my reality? I hope I stop and notice, remember the person I am today, the one planting seeds hoping dearly that they’ll grow.

LISTENING

This playlist, on repeat—“happy music, Mama”.

FULL MOON TAROT :: THE ACE OF PENTACLES

The beginning of a new journey, planting seeds, moving through the world in a different way. Creating a life filled with potential & hope, with perhaps a little bit of fear & doubt, trusting that even if the vision isn’t totally clear, you just need to take that first step.

REFLECTIONS

What seeds (literal & metaphorical) are you planting this season?

How do you want to feel as you move through your days?

What habits/practices/rituals support you as you grow?

COMING SOON

I’ll be launching a new collection of OOAK pieces in The Shop next week—keep an eye on your inbox for a preview & special access to shop it first.

You’ll also find treasures in person at Tender Living Provisions & Wild Rabbit Vintage.
